Talen (2003) --- This was a comission or something because I remember missing the deadline. The talens look more like overgrown toenails. I was trying to learn mangaka around the time this was drawn which is why the head looks so out of place to the rest (I still haven't managed to learn how to draw manga properly but I'm starting to realise there is no reason why I have to). The person who comissioned this was very important to me but my damn brain just can't remember some details like email username, so if this was your picture please contact me.

Lost (2003) -- This started as an attempt to get more of a manga feel to my character work but it obviously didn't work so I made it an experiment in lighting and implied detail instead

Pregnant Angel (2003) --- Head inspired slightly by Colin McCahon. This made "Random Image of the Day" on elfwood, but since that is determined by a random number and not artistic skill it isn't really something I should be boasting.

Freak of Nature (2003) --- Yes, it has both wings and a mermaid tail, and it has a flaming sword despite living in the ocean. I have no idea what I was thinking when I drew this... Maybe I was just trying to add as many cliche fantasy elements as possible

Horses (2003) --- I took this weird art class with this dodgy guy once who basically left the older kids to look after the younger kids while he went.... somewhere... Anyway this is a sketch I did to demonstrate seperating the values of light and dark to make it look like more work was done than actually was...

Blue Fairy (2003) --- Isolated from a larger picture. It used to have this whole backstory plus a really crappy poem to go with it; I personally think it's better on its own without the background and depressive writing.

Prossy (2003) --- I will hunt down and murder anyone who says what photo I used for reference on this. It started as an excersize in curly hair, but then I added a face to the pose and one thing leads to the next...... I think my Elfwood had a creative description to explain the terrible anatomical flaws but I'm not sure if I still have an account there. Oddly enough, the only reason why I add wings and whatnot to pictures that could otherwise be normal is so that places like Elfwood and IFX will accept them :P

Naughty Fairy (2002) --- Some people say this is a work of extreme stylization, some people think I'm channeling Picasso. The truth is that I drew this with my eyes shut while aiming my head at the ceiling (it's a drawing excersize people are encouraged to do every so often to increase their spatial awareness). Considering it took me only a few seconds to draw the outline and not much longer to colour in, this has been my most successful picture. It is now my avatar, and has also been published in ImagineFX magazine (sort of...) Go figure :P
